I am a graduate student studying Astrophysics at Texas Christian University. My current research interests are modelling of Dwarf Galaxies using Semi-Analytic Models.
My current research involves modelling dwarf galaxies of Milky Way and Centaurus A galaxies using Semi-Analytic Model Galacticus (Benson, 2012) with my advisor Dr. Mia Sauda Bovill.
Previous research on Dwarf Spiral Galaxies with my mentor Dr. Dunn. We have compared the UBVR photometry data of three types of dwarf galaxies (dwarf spiral, irregular, and elliptical) to find an evolutionary link among the types. The most recent phase of the research involved plotting star formation histories of dwarf spirals using the PEGASE evolution code, where we also tested the dependency on metallicity. Most of the work involved working with IDL (Interactive Data Language) and 82” Otto-Struve Telescope at McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, Texas.
